Desires, Intentions, Beliefs…Oh My!

Thanks for visiting my site again! You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed since I'm always putting out good stuff like this.

Our desires, our intentions to achieve them and the beliefs we hold about our ability to achieve them are what fuel success at any age…

…and of course the lack of desire, having no intentions to succeed along with self-limiting beliefs is the recipe for an unwanted life.

Activities 5, 6 and 7 all tie in together to help kids understand this.

We all have desires, however many of our desires are never fulfilled due to the beliefs we have about ourselves, and studies show many of the beliefs we have as adults about who we are, what we are capable of, our fears and our self imposed limitations were developed before the age of six and continue to develop throughout our lives.

However many of the beliefs we hold that come up to stop us from achieving our desires entered our mind when we were little, and we unconsciously looked for things throughout our childhood to substantiate those beliefs through our parents, teachers, siblings and peers, oh and of course the media.

No one has complete control over their environment, and kids have far less control over their environment than grown-ups. In addition children have expectations to live up to from parents and teachers, their school, as well as the County, State and Federal Government.

As they are in the midst of developing beliefs that can affect the rest of their lives, The Ultimate Kid’s Guide to Happiness will introduce your child to…

  • They CAN set expectations for THEMSELVES
  • Which provids them tools to help develop beliefs
  • Beliefs of confidence, ability to achieve their desires
  • …And then actually set their intention to achieve them.

An Exercise in Happiness provides children with a 30 day road-map to discovering their true desires and what really brings out real feelings of happiness, self-confidence and optimism about their future.

One of the biggest beliefs we can help our kids develop that will make the world and their lives much happier is the belief that when we help others feel happiness, our lives become more fulfilled and the benefits of putting the feelings of others first far outweigh the effort, and will last a lifetime.
