Hi Patrick, first of let me congratulate you on your wonderful work. I came across your site when I was looking into the various people connected with Happiness. I started my personal journey about 5 years ago and am so happy to be at a point where I can share my experience and research with others. I too am starting a school of happiness for children in Hong Kong ( where i live) . It seems that people are really ready for something like this and often when I give out my name card which says happiness researcher/seeker/coach I get queried on the subject.

Its great to have come across your website and I hope I can take this dialogue further.

Jacqueline, thanks so much for your comment. I too grew up in a very unhappy household but managed to escape at 15 yrs. old. my father was the exact opposite of the father I wanted to be, though I ultimately became the father I wanted to be. So, yes there is hope.

Yes, teaching kids to be happy is an admirable idea. Unfortunately, not all parents will cooperate, but there is hope.

My mother is the most negative person I know, and I am The Happiest Person I Know! So, somewhere along the line I learned not to be like her.

When the number of happy kids grows, it will start an epidemic, as happiness is viral. Go get ‘em!

Have you tried reading Finance for Kidz series to them? You will find that your children have learnt the financial skills to be successful in life and they WILL BE happy.
